This project involves the renovation of an old Mediterranean style 3-storey house to a clean, airy, contemporary sanctuary. Important changes mainly involved the ground floor, where the need to obtain a wide living area in a close relationship with the garden will require emphasizing the high ceiling by putting accent wood cladding and changing the wall color to brighten up the space. The facades will be reinterpreted by adding larger openings which will subsequently provide additional natural lighting. The latter, a volumetric block covered with stone cladding accents, plays an important role in the composition of the new facade characterized by lighter color. On the same floor, the living areas will be intimately involved with the garden through large openings, creating an ideal extension to the outside: a relaxing space for family use during sunny days. The personality of the new building will be strongly reinvigorated by the choice of the materials adopted.
